Welcome to Skysder's Enhanced Traffic Experience: Lite Edition! The official traffic mod of Vanillaworks!
Built from the ground up, this version brings the next-gen experience on PC to the next level! No stone was left unturned, including scratch-built popgroups, popcycles, hundreds of unique car generators, and vehiclemodelsets. Enjoy realism, hidden vehicles, easter eggs and so much more that brings the 10-year-old map of GTA V back to life!
This is the Lite Edition of the mod, meaning it only contains vanilla content. The Ultimate Edition, which includes vanilla and modded content, can be found here!
In the 4.0 update, a complete restructuring of the mod has taken place. Rebuilt from the ground up and including tons of additional changes. This update includes:
- Complete rework of popgroups and popcycles, to give you a fresh and natural feel for the traffic.
- Added The Chop Shop vehicles
- New car generators.
- New vehiclemodelset entries.
- New dispatch.meta.
- New scenarios.
- New Add-Ons; Chameleon Paint Patch & Updated DLC Vehicle Spawn Colors
Chameleon Paint Patch: Add a splash of color to your game! This Add-On will integrate the Chameleon Paint mod into vehiclemodelsets to allow special variants of vehicles to spawn. You must install the colors separately. They are not included in this mod!
Updated DLC Vehicle Spawn Colors: Lessen the assault on the visual senses! This Add-On replaces DLC vehicle spawn colors with all of my previously posted packs, for better integration and less gaudy color combinations!
Prerequisites:
Simple Trainer
Chameleon Paint (For the Chamelon Paint Patch)
HeapAdjuster
Packfile Limit Adjuster
A decent Gameconfig
Installation is in the ReadMe! file included. Please read it!

FAQ:

1a. Install Simple Trainer and or Menyoo to prevent DLC vehicles from despawning.
2q. A bunch of the same cars are spawning!
2a. This is known as the 'GTA Effect' where a specific vehicle is chosen by the game and prioritized. This has nothing to do with the mod.
3q. Cops Back on The Beat? RDE compatibility?
3a. No. Never. Stop asking.
4q. Chameleon Paint Patch doesn't work!
4a. Good luck and maybe read the description next time!
5q. There is no variety or density!
5a. You can get extra variety by editing your settings.xml file in Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V. Bump up the VehicleVarietyMultiplier to 10.0. Do not increase the CityDensity value, as it can cause crashes if it is too high. Instead, I highly recommend using L.S Traffic by Cass.
Please report any bugs to me in the comments about the mod or the .oiv packages. I am new to making .oiv packages, so there is room for error. Now that I have some more time at my own pace to work on the mod, I will be releasing occasional bug patches!
I will not be helping with subjects such as carvariations, computer performance, anything clearly stated in the FAQ or any of the ReadMe files, or other non-mod related topics.

If there is a problem with GTA Effect in my game, how can I solve it? I have tried many traffic mods and this problem always occurs. It has been bothering me for almost two years :(
@colakeer You cannot solve the GTA Effect unless you manually lower the amount of a times each vehicle is able to spawn in the vehicles.meta. You’d be making the edit 700+ times, so it isn’t ideal.
I wonder if it's possible to implement the source vehicles from the Import/Export vehicle missions to spawn in specific locations like the modified cars in front of LS Customs. I managed to recreate all of them using Menyoo, but I don't know how to code them into the vehiclemodelsets.meta
Also, a few potential mistakes I have discovered:
The Rebla GTS cannot spawn normally because it's coded as "reblagts" in the popgroups.ymt file while it's actual internal name is just rebla.
There is a vehicle called "dfq2" in popgroups.ymt that I have no idea which actual vehicle it correlates to in-game. I think it's just a typo and it's supposed to be the FQ 2 (fq2).
The internal name of the Voodoo Custom is just "voodoo" and not "voodoo2", as a result it fails to spawn in the Armenian controlled salvage yard in El Burro Heights, the normal beater Voodoo will spawn there instead.
@WENth100 All of these issues have been fixed in 4.0. Just a case of my fat fingers and working on less than an ideal amount of sleep! Thanks for the report, though. Regarding your presets for the Import/Export vehicles, you can send me the .xmls through my Discord and I can see what I can do to make them spawn. Custom vehiclemodelset categories can be incredibly tricky to get working.
@Skysder We can try but as far as I know, they can't be recreated 100%, because all source vehicles have a custom license plate which vehiclemodelsets.meta cannot control as far as I know, and some of these cars use rims that are not of their default wheel groups which is also something vehiclemodelsets can't do.

@WENth100 The Discord integration seems to have broken since they made users switch from the #0000 format to actual usernames. You can find various links to the Vanillaworks Discord server on my modpages, join one of those and tag me @Skysder once you’re in.
I have tried to increase variety as I was seeing a lot of the same cars as the author suggests but it doesn't seem to make a difference whatever value I put, I have a custom config that turns down overall traffic density could this be the problem?
@spats9320 99% of the time, the changes aren’t physically seen until you’ve been playing the game for a bit. Just the way it’s made. Increasing density can help a lot, since it’ll give more chances to spawn another type of vehicle.

Hey, everyone! 4.0 is pretty much finished, and was due to release on May 17th, however, I'm postponing the release by just a bit so it doesn't interfere with another awesome mod that's due to be released around the same time! Hang tight!

Hold on, I am a little confused, does this mod only alter traffic with vanilla / DLC cars, or does it add new cars from vanillaworks?
@KVTheTank Vanilla content only, as in base game content.
