First, use the "Afterburners for Add-On Planes" mod from mod author "bringa".
Because you need it in order to have afterburners on non native jets (from mods).
This mod is just a color changing. It's simple as it can be. I'm not a professional modder.
This is my first mod.
INSTALLATION:
Activate edit mode on OpenIV (otherwise the mod won't apply), make a copy of your update.rpf file (if you haven't already) and paste the core.ypt on these three files:
[ Backup the original core.ypt file before overwriting it ]
Update/update.rpf/X64/patch/data/effects/ptfx.rpf, ptfx_lo.rpf, and ptfx_hi.rpf
Done.
In case you have the F-22 Raptor Add-on from SkylineGTRFreak, you'll have to do the following to get its afterburner to work with the recommended mod:
Open the F-22 script on the "Afterburners for Add-On Planes" (using notepad), find the first line where it says "hash" (ex: 0xAndsomenumbers) and overwrite it with this hash: 2061630439. Only works for the F-22 Add-on version as far as I know.

There's a little bit of pink left on the afterburner fire, but I don't know what texture (if it's a texture) that is.
If you know which texture that is, please tell me and I will try and fix it.
I've also noticed that there's a white glow deep inside the afterburner (not made or altered by me), which looks ugly at night, because it's small for the size of the exaust and should be yellow.
If you know where this texture is located, please do tell me.
