When you use Radiance V, VisualV, or any mod that comes with its own visualsettings.dat file you will have massively bright taxi ad signs. Heres the solution. As you can see in the pics they are nowhere near bright or so blinding you cant even see the ads themselves. I am using my own custom made visualsettings.dat file which has values alot higher then Radiance V or VisualV sets them to so your taxi ads will not be bright since mine are perfect.
Some of the color values in visualsettings.dat are from Kevin56436 check out his mods for realistic hid lights.
I included my own visualsettings.dat file which has improved lods for ped models(great for addon Peds or replacing peds with HQ ones downloaded from here) I made the car lods slightly higher. Your cop sirens will be alot brighter and visible further down the road using my visualsettings.dat file. I also included a tip text file so you can edit the lines yourself and what some of the lines do.
As a bonus I also included the vanilla rain textures but I reduced them in size by half. As I thought the rain drops were just too big. Also included a starfield texture with shooting stars in it. You have your choices of 1, 2 , 3 or 4 shooting stars in the sky along with some more stars added. Or just more stars in the sky with no shooting stars.
Install instructions and tips for visualsettings are in the text file.
Also how to make your nights darker is included in the text file.

Im gonna try it, use your values. thanks!
@GPlay90 The car will if you set it at 90 or higher the ped not sure. Im assuming maybe 1 fps
Can any one PLZZ help me with the rim. Mod plz
"I also included a tip text file so you can edit the lines yourself and what some of the lines do. "
I love you in a manly way. I never could get bxbugs's lines in VisualV without insane lit dash of taxi signs. So will take a look for sure!
@ReNNie ya no problem. There is a line called bloom or bloom intensity toward the bottom i think that also affects dash lights and dial brightness some.
@ReNNie some car mod authors make their dials and interior lights around the cd player superior bright so i have to manually edit the textures inside the ytd and reduce the brightness by half. If you pm me on the forums i will tell you how to do it. You can use a free program thats like photoshop to do it.
some of my cars headlights are very bright during the day time. does this mod fix that as well? I use "make visuals great again"
@Hades v Rekoilz are you talking addon cars or vanilla cars? Addon cars usually have a lights info section included inside the carcols.meta file. And it has a section for headlight intensity set by the author of the mod.
cars that I replaced actually
@Hades v Rekoilz to fix headlight brightness on the replaced cars you would have to go into carcols.ymt file and then <Lights> section and lower the headlight intensity by 0.15 - 0.5. You can lower the values down in my visualsettings.dat file as well and it will do a global intensity drop meaning all cars will have less bright headlights.
lol i thought the more stars meant you raised the amount of stars from cops i thought you raised it to 6 like the good old days lol
Doesn't work.
@Willief23 Thx for sharing the advance tips. Love this
The interoir lights are now extremely bright is there any way to fix it without reducing the brightness of the emergency lights?
will it help with displays in moded cars where it is too bright?
@Willief23 what actually I need to rewrite in "visual" file?
@LukeriousYT Have you found a decision?
@Willief23 Would you happen to know which line in the visualsettings.dat controls the brightness of the taxi top advertisement banner ? I know you provided a dark dds replacement and i read your document info file for other tips, but i was wondering if there is a way to keep the bright banner for day time and adjust the brightness within visualsettings file.
Thanks
