@stillhere yes that will be perfect. It doesn't have to be self radio as long as it's a music file that I can start with the click of a key and turn off with that same key... Example... If J key turns on the sound then I also want the J key to turn it off and then when I cut it back on it should start from the beginning each time... I'm sorry if I'm not that clear with the examples trying to explain the best I can lol.. but if you could give it a shot I'd be most appreciative... Also shoot me your patreon link if you have one

@Cashrules Don't got a patreon :)
Anyways, give this a try: https://mega.nz/#!nF9GmRgY!gvE-v7Ww49v8W25sWTR5BvKVsx21Jo8BZVrmfe-QWwUJust merge the scripts folder with your current one. Default key is J. If you want to edit the ini and/or change the sound.wav file while in-game, just type "simplesoundplayer" into the cheat console (the ~ key) and the script will reread everything.

@stillhere hey bro. Is it possible to make a filter apply with a keypress? Ideally a blue filter with a little wave effect on the screen with lightning emitting randomly from the character. Here is a reference.

Sadly unfortunately this mod didn't worked properly as of 9/24/2018 with my 1.0.1493 patch. I copied & pasted Waypoint3D.cs in my 'scripts' folder as instructed and when I went in the game I got something much more different than what I was expecting. Instead of that long, lazer beam marker shown on the videos here I got a blue feathered arrow hovering on top of my head showing me the way to the waypoint but, that's totally unecessary really. I want to actually see that lazer beam from afar showing me where the waypoint is from a distance, I don't need a dumb blue arrow on top of my head showing me how to turns towards it . Totally unecessary. I don't know why is showing me that but, that's exactly what's showing....NOT that pink lazer beam of light shown on the demo videos. I don't know what's wrong, I put the file exactly where it's supposed to go. I didn't needed to install the other files from the "3DWaypointFiveM" because simply I don't play off a "FiveM server". If anyone got this mod to work with the latest 1.0.1493 patch I would like to know. Thanks!

Nice mod. Small problem that the arrow doesn't show when far from the waypoint. Only when close to it does it appear. Also points directly to the waypoint and not where a turn would need to be made. Maybe there can be an option that adds an indicator where the player should turn?

Doesn't work anymore. The beam is not present and the arrow appears for a split second in front of the car.

This mod doesn't work. The arrow idea is dumb, but having it enabled by default instead of the beacon that is shown in the picture is retarded. On top of that, the arrow only appears for half a second before it disappears. Then it just starts blinking like that. It took me ten minutes to even figure out what the hell it was. So I went into the settings and turned that off so I would have the beacon. I can't say I'm surprised at this point, but the beacon didn't even appear until I was five meters away from it. Rubbish

For some reason i'm unable to change the color of the beam, ive followed the instructions, but nothing. I'm using this on my FiveM server.

Ahh man this Mod no longer works with the latest scripthook updates!!
Can someone please update this wonderful Mod to newest SHVDN!

@stillhere Do you understand your mod is unique? No other mod like this exists! Please give it a small update to work. Anybody is welcome to help, it's an open source!!

Completely broken, as many others have stated. Arrows flash for less than a second, and there is no visible waypoint from a distance. Worthless

For anyone looking for an actually functional alternative, I recommend Waypoint Marked With Laser:

If soeone find a functional version that has the arrows showing while you drive (not just the laser from the sky), please let me know :(

Hi everyone, I encountered the same issue while tweaking some other mods. I think the problem is that this mod uses GetWaypointPosition() in Script Hook Dot Net V2. The function is blocking as it has a loop with Wait() in it. It can't keep up with the graphics rendering. If someone has time feel free to migrate the mod to SHDNV3 or use the native functions to find the waypoint position.

Thanks for the support! The script is open source so you can edit it to your liking. I don't mind if anyone wants to share or upload it somewhere else.
You can easily change the waypoint color by opening Waypoint3D.cs with a text editor. The default color is "HotPink".
Color names can be found here:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.drawing.color(v=vs.110).aspx
You can also set a custom color using ARGB values (Alpha, Red, Green, Blue, in that order).
Ex:
Color waypointColor = Color.FromArgb(255, 255, 0, 255);
for a purple-ish color.
The range is from 0 - 255.
Here's a color picker you can use: https://www.hexcolortool.com/
(just be aware that its Alpha value range is from 0 - 1. Just multiply it by 255 to get the value you should insert into "FromArgb".)
