Installation
Place IllegalStreetRaces.dll and IllegalStreetRaces.ini into your "scripts" folder. You will need Script Hook V and .NET Script Hook.
Controls
Revving/burning out your vehicle engine by default is:
R2 + X (Controller)
W + S (Keyboard)
You have to do this for at least 2 seconds near a vehicle at a stoplight to activate the script.
Settings
RACE_DISTANCE - the distance in which the script will randomize how far the race will be. (250 by default)

It will add a blip to your opponent and finish line, plus the opponent will rev their vehicle's engine as well before the race begins.

Fixed it by simply removing the files and re-adding it. W+S works just fine now.

Dude im playing in VR with a full racing cockpit, stick shift(Thrustmaster TS300RS , Thrustmaster T8H shifter, and an Ebrake) and holy shit, this is so freaking fun. However I will say, I just raced a cop, and not only did the asshole beat me, he had the balls to dance in front of me gloating, and then dig even deeper by saying he also got plates and was ready to give me a ticket lol.
Hey man one thing I was wondering, anyway to change it like Midnight Club? Instead of pulling up to somebody and doing the burnout for 2 seconds, instead pull up behind a car, flash your lights on and off and on and off, (like midnight club) and then they pull up next to you and line up at say the marker(next light), and then the burnouts begin!
I highly highly recommend this mod with the Pull Me Over mod, and adding cop spawns as normal patrols, which pretty much always ends in a high speed chase with the cops after the race ends.

@ajhockey88 Try Impromptu Races. I just confirmed it's working as of today.
If only it was possible to combine the good parts of this with Impromptu Races or vice/versa. We need a new 2021 version of racing peds in the game.
Is it just me, or is this script outdated and no longer working? All the AI does when I burnout beside them is freak out and flee.

Okay so turns out JediJosh has left GTA modding in 2019, and probably the gaming communities in general (or at least isn't active on them; I checked all of his links).
BUT!!!
I am willing to voluntarily FIX AND FORK any of JediJosh's mods and re-upload them here (with due credit of course). I'm also willing to make small, QOL changes to existing mods or to restore/enhance/add a bit of functionality to them.
I have programming experience in Java, C++, Python and a bit of SQL, but absolutely no exp in GTA V modding, so I'll need a hand or at least someone to show me what causes the crashes/bugs.
