Introduction
This mod tries to make damage and deformation undergone by vehicles more realistic by making them a little bit more fragile.
It builds on the work of ZZCOOL (taltigolt), TrophiHunter and Corinarh with their respective mods: GTA IV Vehicle Damage Handling Deformation, Real Vehicle Damage and Better Deformation + More Durable Cars.
Each of these mods had drawbacks that this mod is trying to address:
Reading the package filename
As I began this mod recently, when you'll read these lines it's possible that you'll find only one version or flavor of the mod. I will add more versions and flavors over time.
There are many versions and flavors for this mod. There is one version for each build number of GTA 5 and three flavors (the number may change over time) per version. You need to install the version specifically made for your GTA 5 installation build number but you can choose any flavors you want for this version.
To help you know which file to download, each package filename follow the same form: "RVD-<VERSION>-GTA5-<VERSION2>-<WORD>.oiv", where <VERSION> is a string like "1.0", <VERSION2> is a number (often but not always near 1000) and <WORD> one of "HEAVY", "MEDIUM" or "LIGHT".
Instructions:
If you have already done any of the step below there is no need to do it again.
Before installing the mod I keenly ask you to read the entire description from the start as it can save you much trouble. I know it represent a great effort for some of you but it is really worth it.

- some of them didn't apply to all vehicles even if they said so.
- some of them contained handling.meta that were messed up with modifications coming from others mods (e.g., one handling.meta set the weight of the Truffade Adder to 1800000 instead of 1800).
- none of them is updated and you should not use any of them as they will replace your(s) handling.meta(s) with one(s) coming from older version of GTA 5.

- The <VERSION> string is the version of this mod, you should use the latest version available here for your GTA 5 build number
- The <VERSION2> string is the build number of GTA 5 for which this mod version was made, you REALLY SHOULD install a mod version ONLY if this build number correspond to the build number of your current GTA 5 installation. To know the build number of your current installation go to the directory where GTA 5 was installed, right-click GTA5.exe, go to the "Details" tab. You'll see a file version (e.g., 1.0.877.1), the last two number are the build number (e.g., 877.1). If there is no version available for your particular installation build number, see the section How to get a version for your particular build number below.
- The <WORD> string is the flavor of this mod version. The flavor determine how much fragile the vehicle will become. HEAVY is the most realistic flavor, in which the vehicle are the most easily broken. The LIGHT flavor is the one in which the vehicle are the hardest while still being a little bit more fragile than the original GTA 5. The MEDIUM flavor represent a compromise between the HEAVY flavor and the LIGHT flavor.

@Sukhoi multiplayer was a thing 1 and a half years ago
hello, could you update the mod to support the war arena cars?
hey, how to uninstall this mod?
@hondaaccord99 Calm down, the mod works just fine and is great. No reason at all to rate it half a star because you somehow managed to break your game with something else. Also, kind of on you for not using a mods folder.
@schlopp96 rude comments are unnecessary and not respecting the site rules...
HI... Tell me How to Uninstall this mod...
must Reply...
Hey, can anyone please tell me how to unninstall this mod? it doesnt work and just crashed while loading gta 5.
Does this mod works?
@DarkSino Can you update to other DLC vehicle?
@cord did you ever unninstall?
Uhm, i have a problem, every time i install this, my game crashes.
@Btb0123 outdated now
bro do oiv for uninstall that
friend, where is this file located in the mods folder? I need to delete it
the fking folder location is where? What kind of ahole only uploads the install file??
To everybody whining about not being able to uninstall it, DELETE YOUR MODS FOLDER. And you might be like, "but i have good mods i don't wanna delete." cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get over it. There is no way to uninstall OIV mods unless the mod maker has inlcuded a OIV file that does so.
I like this mod, however, I'm really looking for a similar mod but where the engine health is decreased so that my car shuts down if I crash to the point where it deforms like this. Something ultra-realistic so that I can fail missions because the car engine died.
hey how to unistal this mod this mod make my gta crash
@Qasim007 @raymozza You cant. Unless the developer uptades the mod and adds an uninstaller, you cant just reinstall the game
