@Smaen i don't mean installing, i mean adding my own versoin of the boxville without replacing a current boxville ;p my mod has an Henkels and Mccoy boxville that replaces Boxville4 and i want it to make it nolt replace anything
Follow this tutorial if you wish to make your own addon vehicles. Works for all type of vehicles.
http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/50909-adding-a-new-emergency-vehicle-is-possible-now/?page=1
@smaen I commented to you at lcpdfr
Does this work with the police radio mod?
@Zomby991 Not yet, but the next release of Police Radio will add support for this.
I'm not to sure how to word this, so ill just say it, Since the vehicle is using the lifeguard lights, could you get into the files and disable the emergence file, so it keeps the light but the cars wont stop?
Riktigt nice =) Kör med den nu, och fungerar perfekt.
@Zomby991 All vehicles have a number to define how to "spawn" the flashing lights. This is defined in the carvariations.meta file by a number. 0 for no lights, 1 for the interceptor and 13 for the lifeguard Granger if i remember correctly. Unfortunately, I do not know what the Boxville uses. As you see, it works with the lifeguard setting. If i find the correct setting for the Boxville, I will change it.
Hope you understand.
Thanks
@19Legan81 Takk. Flott å høre. [Thanks. Great to hear]
What do I do with the DDS files?
@icklejitta Nothing. They are completely optional if you want to edit the skin yourself.
Why would you remove flashing lights lol
Only the rear tail lights are removed. The top ones now work even better. Each emergency vehicles have their own setting for the lights, and I was using the wrong one.
If you looks carefully, you can see that the amber lights actually rotate.
Mr mod author, how do you add the line to my vehicles meta, i cant CTRL+V it in there despite the edit mode being clicked?
@OfficerAMR I think you can use Notepad++ to open vehicles.meta file. First you export the vehicles meta to you desktop or anywhere you want. Then, edit the meta file with Notepad++ and follow the instructions that the author put in his mods. After you edited the vehicles meta replace the original. That's it.
@Girghe thanks
Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to add vehicles to the game? I've been trying to add a snowless version of the old police car from the prologue to spawn in Blaine County as the sheriff's car. No luck on getting it into the game at all though.
@CplCookie Yes, right here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/50909-adding-a-new-emergency-vehicle-is-possible-now/?page=1
nice,this van reminded me the 80,90‘s movies about the police
Does the trick to add this work with any modded vehicle vehicles?
For anyone who uses Police Smart Radio and has Arrest Manager installed, is wondering how to change the coroner's over to use these custom vehicles instead; Look for ArrestManager.ini in Plugins/LSPDFR then edit the line "CoronerVehicleModel=SPEEDO" To "CoronerVehicleModel=CORSPEEDO".
