This mod in particular has been abandoned, please use this instead (unless you really love the original IV M4)

This is exactly what the carbine rifle should have looked like.
Update report:
-New model is almost done, gonna put it in game soon
-Next version will be fully addon, barrel will be long again just like GTA IV, model will be higher quality and fully animated, planning on some new attachments as well
@HeySlickThatsMe maybe use the Max Payne 3 M4? It looks a little different

@KSRfluffyboi Max Payne 3 M4 has 128x128 textures so it's unusuable, and the model isn't that much different from IV
I did finish the new model anyway, although it still needs some tweaks and such

@HeySlickThatsMe I just came here to say I'm very excited to check out the new addon version! I loved using this rifle in the game and it's just a shame that it causes some of the newer addon gun muzzle textures to glitch out so am very excited this rifle is getting an update! Good luck!

@Trooper Tom Stuck in development hell I'd say, there's some problems I have been facing and I feel like I want to redo the model again (especially since my 3ds max scene is a mess and I tried to do too much things at once causing these problems) so yeah, it is sort of on hold, same with the Assault Sniper mod
Although I will be releasing another weapon model maybe even today/tomorrow (depending on your timezone), I have been working on it for few days, it's pretty simple like my Mini Shotgun I recently released, I have it pretty much done and thankfully I avoided the messy development by doing piece by piece and had a lot of random motivation
Just to put the issue in detail, the new carbine model uses too much separate textures, the dlc rpf needs a rework, attachments need a rework and some things feel hacky, I should focus on the main model first and once that's pretty much finished, work on the attachments etc, doesn't help that the work folder structure is also a mess, hopefully I can improve all of this and then deliver

@gentlejoey123458 Addon will come when i release the reworked version which i'm going to redo again, this mod will no longer be updated as the new version will come as separate upload with new name aswell (It's going to be renamed to Assault Carbine to match beta Assault Sniper which i'm also working on)
you can add pickups when a dead ped holding your weapon will drop your model and give you the sample weapon complement

Sucks that this is the only real mod that replicates the carbine rifle from GTA 4. Either they all have weird attatchements only a airsoft player would like or lacked the smooth handguard.
@HeySlickThatsMe Is the "Assault Carbine" mod, or whatever the new version of this mod is supposed to be called, still coming? Last comment I can see about it is in 2022 and I can't find any posts from you about it. Was the idea just scrapped? Great mod btw.
